Real finite elements
Reissner–Mindlin plates (MITC4) for two-way slabs with holes and walls standing on them, a beam frame with hinges for the rafter pair. Verified against Navier and beam theory.
Structural pre-design for houses in Bavaria
Draw walls and slabs per storey, choose the roof, pick the district. strucnorm solves slabs and rafters with finite elements, takes every load down to the footings and checks it to DIN EN 1990–1997 with German NA.

Choose the Bavarian district: snow zone, wind zone and altitude are preset, then confirm them for your municipality. Pick the soil for the footings.
Draw walls on their axes, storey by storey, with windows and doors. Drag slab areas and stair holes. Set the gable roof or a flat roof.
Slabs become MITC4 plate meshes that follow the walls; rafters a 2D frame. Every action is solved separately and combined per DIN EN 1990/NA.
Bending, shear and deflection of slabs, masonry walls, rafters and footings with utilisation and code reference – plus building class and check duty under BayBO, as a PDF.

Roof → eaves → walls → slabs → walls → footings. Loads over openings go to the piers; walls without a wall below load the slab as line loads. Equilibrium is checked.
Snow by zone and altitude, simplified wind pressure, imposed loads by category, γ and ψ factors from the NA, k_mod and k_cr for timber, Φ factors for masonry.
Wood–Armer design moments, required reinforcement at every node, minimum reinforcement and a suggestion of standard meshes (Q188A … Q636A).
Building class from height, units and floor area; whether the structural calculation needs a Prüfsachverständiger under Art. 62a BayBO and the criteria catalogue.
Snap-to-grid plan editor, 3D view with result contours and exaggerated deflection, PDF report and JSON project files. English and German.
No. It is a pre-design tool: it gives early, plausible member sizes and shows where the structure is critical. The structural calculation for the building permit must be prepared by a qualified engineer (Art. 62a BayBO) and, depending on the building class, checked.
DIN EN 1990, 1991-1-1, 1991-1-3, 1991-1-4, 1992-1-1, 1995-1-1, 1996-3 and 1997-1 with their German National Annexes, DIN 1054 for bearing resistance, and the Bayerische Bauordnung with the Bauvorlagenverordnung.
The district presets are a starting point. Several districts are split between zones, so confirm the zone for the municipality in the DIBt tables – the app reminds you until you do.
Bracing against horizontal loads, lintels, stairs, basement walls under earth pressure, punching and cracked-section deflections. The report lists these limits.
